A short movie made from a collection of photos taken during an act of performance art looking at the different ways humans engage with land, with a focus on how we use symbols to represent such engagements. I collected (freed) an assortment of landscaping flags, in my mind active symbols of a destructive relationship to land, and brought them with me as I moved through land under my own power, an engagement that I see as celebratory. I introduced these flags to a new way of engaging with land, and hoped to do the same to other beings as I captured and shared the experience. Performance art undertaken with GoPro in hand, so as to document the experience with minimal detraction from the process.
